Russia in Marathon Reading of Tolstoy’s War and Peace on Web

main-logo_“On December 8-11, 2015, there will be a TV-, radio-, and Internet live broadcast  of the reading of one of the largest-scale works in world literature – Leo Tolstoy‘s novel War and Peace. One after another, without breaks, thousands of people from different cities and countries will read the novel from the first page to the last one. It will be possible to follow the broadcast on the Russia K TV channel, Mayak radio station, and on the project‘s web site voinaimir.com. Each new stage will start at 10:00 a.m., Moscow time.”

“At Yasnaya Polyana, extracts from the novel will be read by the actors Valery Barinov and Sergey Bezrukov, the actresses Evgeniya Dmitrieva, Alisa Grebenshchikova and Maria Golubkina, and the writers Valentin Kurbatov, Igor Volgin, Aleksei Varlamov, Vladislav Otroshenko and Sergey Shargunov.
